Well after looking at all the wheel and tire combos for 69 Camaros on this site..... it seems that a 15x8 wheel with 5 inches of backspace will fit.
If not then will a 1/2 spacer hurt anything?
I have came across a great deal for a set Weld Draglites that I cannot pass up.

Gunna have to watch the lower shock mounts in the rear and for rubbing in the front depending on your tire size choice. Could also rub in the inner wheel wells at the rear if you're running a big tire there too. More like 1/2 spacer in the rear and 1/4 (if they make em?) up front.

I forgot to say that the front wheels are 15x4 so I will not have to run a spacer up front

I ran a 15x8 w/5" bs on the rear of my '69 with 245/60/15 tires but it rubbed on the inside some. This was with multi-leaf shocks... A 1/2" spacer is unsafe, don't use more than 5/16" at most and note most packaging will warn about needing longer studs and not using spacers under performance conditions. If you need more space run adapters that you bolt to your studs and have their own studs the wheel bolts to.
