Why is it so hard to find a good 350 4-bolt main block??? I have bought 5 of them, 4 of them are cracked, and 1 is a 2-bolt...(Ran the number, thought it was a 4-bolt...)oops... If anyone knows where to find a good (NOT CRACKED!!!) 350 4-bolt block, in or around Jacksonville, Florida... for around $300... please let me know!!!!
Thanks!!!

Save your money, use the 2 bolt block, and convert it to 4 bolt splayed caps wich i believe are stronger anyways. Its what i did. I got 4 bolt splayed caps that fit the 2 bolt register. I just file fit the caps to fit properly, then had a buddy of mine make a sleeve so i could drill the 6 splayed holes, then tapped the 6 outer splayed bolts, then drilled a small register so the block wont crack, then chamfered the holes. Its really not that hard, just mildly time consuming, and cheaper than looking for a 4 bolt block.

Stay away from the late blocks. The ones where the vin. pad is about half the size of the early ones. You will find that most of them are cracked. A late 60s early 70s 2 bolt will work for anything you will do to it even without putting 4 bolt caps on.
