Gentlemen, I don't know if this is the right forum or not, but here goes. I attended the Camaro show in Thorold, Ontario on Saturday. It was an excellent show, well organized, nice people, great cars old, new, and those in between. I felt badly when I read about the difficulty some or our Americn friends have had with border crossings. Please don't give up. If you can just penetrate our barricades, interrogations, suspicious minds etc., you will find some nice folks. I have a similar story connected to the importation of a 1969 Chevelle convertible last fall, which I purchased from a police officer in Buffalo, though I didn't have to pay any fines. It was complex and nasty. Anyway, despite our few small differences, most Canadians probably consider the USA to be our best friend. I have been to the Woodward cruise many times and always enjoyed myself. I know that security is important, especially now, but let's hope the inconveince does not discourage good, ordinary folks from going about their normal lives, and trying to have a little fun. Best regards. Best regards. R.B.

I agree with you Rod.
It can be a real hassle sometimes getting back and forth, but I don't think it really discourages many people from trying.

Now that we need passports (or enhanced licenses?) to visit Canada, it'll slow down some of the visits, but not for long. Everyone will get their paperwork sooner or later.
I haven't gotten a passport yet which makes me feel like I'm missing out on something, even though I cross the border maybe once a year.

I learned one thing about returning from Canada prior to the passport law, don't get in the NEXUS (I think that is the word) lane! There was a woman that had a sign and SHE directed me into it. Not having a clue, I went where she told me. Next thing that happened is a border guard giving me a ticket! We had to stand in line forever while they checked us out which took even longer since I have a CCW permit. After questioning for a long period of time, it turned into a BS session between the border guards and me. They actually were very decent people and knew that I had not a clue about NEXUS so didn't fine me. Would I go back...in a heart beat. British Columbia is beautiful.

Well... i knew it was a matter of time. The US/CAN border at Buffalo was way to easy to cross. Any one going across at Detroit knws what i mean. I was threw on Sun at Buffalo it was a 2hr wait usded to be 20min. But it was said that we were to lax....
