Don't know why a vert would be any different. 67-74 GM SHIFTER BOOT 3 OR 4 SPEED W/CONSOLE 67-74 GM SHIFTER BOOT 3 OR 4 SPEED W/CONSOLE. FITS 67-69 CAMARO, 67 FIREBIRD AND 68-74 NOVA. GM. Product Number 3974526 JCap Jun 19th, 09, 07:35 PM The one I Have in the car now has a round top hole, this one is square. Can anyone tell me if this is the right part. Thanks Jerry JCap Jul 12th, 09, 07:26 PM does anyone no if this should have a square top or round??????????? William Jul 12th, 09, 07:54 PM #3974526 is the boot for a 4-speed '67 with a console. At some point it was substituted for other applications. It is not correct for a '69. All factory 4 speed '69s used the same Hurst round-handle shifter. Last part number I know of for the appropriate boot was #9795407. 3-speeds would have used a boot with a rectangular opening. Steiner Jul 13th, 09, 07:56 PM I second William. '67 and '68 used a flat stick. '69 got a round one http://www.rickscamaros.com/product.asp?pf_id=CP-24&dept_id=3530. What do you have now? I personally have a non-original Hurst shifter with flat stick and console, so I'm using the boot for a '67-'68 console car and a '69 console tunnel. JCap Jul 14th, 09, 05:54 PM I Have a original Hurt shifter for a 69 and the original boot hole is round i bought one on ebay that clams to be for a 69 with console but its square??????? Does any one know where i can find an original?????? |
