Looking at dressing up under the hood. Thinking of buying some plug wire looms for a smallblock 350 on the 69. Any brand or style recommendations? Pics? Thanks

GM- they used some simple but effective looms on trucks starting in the early 90's.
they are practically invisible when properly installed, they work- and they are cheap.

You guys with the wires that will actually run through the looms and then behind the valve covers....what application did you buy for or did you buy a "build your own" kit? I've got Accel 8.8 wires for a SBC and they have to come up over the valve covers to get to the distributor.

Those wire looms are manufactured by a company called "Made for You". I had a set in black at one time but now I have my wires underneath the headers.

I just bought and install the GM performance linear loom with the bowtie on it. I had the Moroso ones like some of the guys are showing but didn't like them very well. When I would torque down the valve cover bolts they would twist on me. I also used the MSD universal wires and made my own. It cleaned everything up nice. They also go behind the valve covers. I also used black wires.

i'll say it again- oem GM can't be beat. they aren't bling- in fact, they pretty much disappear if you paint the brackets black and run black plug wires.
they bolt to the holes in the sides of the head, between the spark plugs. some headers interfere, but you can either put a small notch in the header flange or use some low profile allen hed bolts that fit under the header flange.
they also have a bracket that bolts to the back of each head, with the wires routed behind the valve coves and along the outside valve cover rail. the wires are securely held in black plastic looms that snap shut over the wires.
they hold every thing tight and really visually clean the engine up.
for big blocks, GM also has the best solution. the looms they use in the 454, 502, and 572 crate motors was used on 454 trucks in the late 90's- and are dirt cheap. as of a couple of years ago, you could get the big block looms for $17 from GM, and around $100 for the looms with custom fit red plug wires with the Chevy bowtie on them.

I used under header mounts from trans dapt and custom cut my wires. Pictures are linked to my signature.
