Got a new set from Ricks, came in an Al Knoch box but no markings on the panels themselves. The backing is solid black plastic and there are no mounting holes anywhere along the bottom or sides for any type of clips. I know the top is held in by the chrome trim piece, but whats the best way of securing them on the sides and bottom..do they screw into the door through the carpet? Velcro maybe?

thxs!

Hey Mike

There are 4 clips (memory) that plug into the door two on each end- they hang from the backside of the cardboard on the originals.

There are then 5 screws (from memory) that go thru the carpet into the bottom of the door....hopefully you can find the holes for them already in the door. Its a bit tricky to then locate the screw...

You'll have to cut your own slots to accept the side clips.

Easier said than done since its hard plastic on these panels, not cardboard...im thinking if its held in place by trim screws along the bottom through the carpet, and held in at the top by the molding, I could just use heavy duty velcro on the sides....

I cut them. Mine are hard plastic also. Whatever works for you.

Use a roto zip set at the right depth ,makes it real easy.

the bottom is held on with the chrome screw's with the little chrome washer's , if you look at your door you will see the screw hole indent's from the factory where they go ,

and on the price your DANG RIGHT ! I bought mine several year's ago too

those were $299 when I got my 67 , then rick's put them on sale for $320

I got them for the $320 ! now they are like $599
