We are working on my friends 1968 Camaro SS and it is Cordovan Metallic exterior (NN) with a RED interior. We actually discovered that the RED on the Vinyl items is actually Firethorn Red but the metal dash and glove box door are a brighter red. We need to touch up the glove box door but we cannot find what color red to buy. Can anyone out there provide us with a color code for the brighter red? I have not found anywhere where it says that the vinyl red is actually Firethorn Red but we got a can of SEM Firethorn Red and the vinyl items that we painted with that can match the existing vinyl perfect. In advance, thanks to those that provide us with an input.

You are right...

Chevy interior colors are hard to find the recipe......especially forward of the A pillar pinch weld i.e.: dash and a pillar colors

Typically throughout the 60's Chevy cars paint the dash a darker color than the rest of the interior

Take the glove box door to a paint and body supply store and have them color match it. I have done it on several cars and always end up with a dead on match, and it is alot less stressful to do it that way.
