When I did most of the work on my car, I used NPD (National Parts Depot) quite a bit.

http://www.npdlink.com

I had problems with Ricks, and now they are owned by Eckler's and their prices have sky rocketed.

Belair Bob frequents this site and he may be a good choice. http://www.belairbobs.com/

Ground Up is a long time sponser of the site also. http://www.ss396.com/camaro_67-69.htm

Classic Industeries has a 20% discount going the end of the month. Code WS5218 should get you the discount.

Classic Industries high prices and about a 15% handling and shipping, makes their 20% discount about a wash.

Hey Rob, i am about to order some of the same items you are for my 68 vert. I am kind of in the same dilemma. I think that I've narrowed it down to NPD or Firewheel Classics. Both seem to have good prices. Double check what is included in your front suspension overhaul kit. I noticed that some suppliers don't include the same items as other suppliers, FYI. I was just getting ready to do a search here on TC and check out Firewheel Classics reputation. Good Luck :beers:

Rob you need to check the Classic catalog. I have had my differences with Classic also but all the prices are cheaper then Ricks and at 20% off they are cheaper then most. Shipping is a fact of life no matter where the parts are coming from. I have gotten my parts from all the suppliers (except Heart Beat City because I am boycotting them) and the parts from Classic are as good or bad as any of them.

I used PST's polygraphite kit to rebuild my front end on my 67 vert and it works great. http://www.p-s-t.com/pc-261-29-chevrolet-camaro-1967-02.aspx . I also installed the TVS SB kit with the bilstien shocks at the same time. You might want to check with Frank at Prodigy http://www.prodigycustoms.com/ on some of the Hotchkis parts.

Does anyone know if Ground up is going to come out with a promo code anytime soon? If not how do I use the Team Camaro 10% discount code?

Hi Rob, i priced the items included in most of the "master" or "deluxe" front end rebuild kits offered by the big catalog suppliers with the local autozone and their price was around $225-$230 for everything. That isn't including any local tax but there won't be any shipping and handling charges either. I think all of the steering components were Duralast brand and in stock. I had them price the following items:

2 upper ball joints
2 lower ball joints
2 inner tie rods
2 outer tie rods
1 idler arm
2 adjusting sleeves
2 sway bar bushing end links
4 upper control arm bushings
4 lower control arm bushings

I need to get new front wheel bearings, also, but they aren't included in the price above. I'll prolly stop in there after work tomorrow and pick everything up

I noticed this thread, and just to clarify, our rebuild kits are assembled with McQuay Norris components, which we find to be better engineered and built than Moog, which builds the Duralast brand, and has been moving more and more of their production outside of the U.S.

They're worth a side-by-side comparison..

In any case, just wanted to make the case that our price is a bit higher for a reason. :)

For the Ground Up 10% TC discount you must phone in your order. They have not figured out how to discount the 10% on-line.

FWIW, I've used NPD for most of my parts and have never been dissappointed.
