1968Motion427SSNova Jun 20th, 09, 10:20 AM Since its been mentioned if Joel used the original 10 Bolt rears in the 1971,1972,1973 camaros,he did. Those who collect magazines go to Popular Hot Rodding Issue September 1973 and check out this Awesome 1973 454 Tunnel Ram Camaro which is a 3 page article with pictures! Shows the back side of the 10 Bolt sooooo you can see for your self! Yes and 513 Gears too!! This car has the Phase III stripe with a Big Pro Stock hood scoop. Car was sold to Pat Tobin JR of Newark Del !! Wheres this car now!!!!
1968Motion427SSNova Jun 20th, 09, 10:24 AM Same car is also featured in Chevy Action November 1974!
69 BMotion Jun 21st, 09, 08:55 AM I think many of the post '70 BM Camaros retained their factory 10 bolt. I owned a 1971 Baldwin Motion Camaro (red / white stripes / black interior) for a couple of years. The car started life as a Z-28 and was delivered with an LS-6, and retained the original 10 bolt, but was upgraded with 4.10 gears. It has been featured in numerous magazines as well.
1968Motion427SSNova Oct 4th, 09, 09:36 AM Thanks Charlie, heard rumors this car is still out there in Newark Del.Hey found a old Motion article, shows 3 similer cars lined up,all 3 seem to be white interior cars.Could Joel batch ordered these III cars?

1968Motion427SSNova Oct 6th, 09, 12:01 PM Mike thats ,I have another article on this car with lots of info and Joels handy work.Check out Popular Hot Rodding September 1973 page 42,43 and 44. I guess this 1973 Motion Camaro was done in 1973 by the date of the magazine, right?
1968Motion427SSNova Oct 6th, 09, 04:10 PM Mike,Someone sent me a picture of these 3 similer cars lined up in a old Baldwin Motion picture.Picture was taken from the New Motion Book by MS.Definitly tell they were all white interior 1973 Camaros with the PHASE III markings.
1968Motion427SSNova Oct 6th, 09, 05:18 PM Mike ,Ok the pictures you had sent to you of Pats BM Car is from a later issue of a Magazine called Chevy Action.Issue is November 1974.This has articles on the 1974 BM Phase III Camaros.
JimM Oct 6th, 09, 05:22 PM Dayum, I wish I still had all those magazines...
Thanks guys, you help me remember these cars were NEW once!
JOE58 Oct 6th, 09, 06:03 PM Marty put a large picture of that Camaro in his book and said the owner brought it in to Motion and told him he wanted a Phase III 454 that ran and looked like a Pro Stocker.
He got what he ordered! :)

He sure did Joe.
Dan, whos Pat? What pics are you talking about?
1968Motion427SSNova Oct 6th, 09, 07:05 PM Mike ,Pat Tobin from Newark Del,thats all.Hey Joe pretty amazing then that all 3 1973 Phase III in that picture, one being Pat Tobins car All had white interiors.Did Pat Tobin bring 2 friends cars to Joel from Newark Del for Phase III transplants? Maybe they ordered all 3 from a Newark DEl Chevrolet Dealership and brought them to Joel at the same time? One has the RS front end and 2 have the full bumper front end.2 have L88 hoods,Pats has the Pro Stock hood. All 3 have the white Motion stripe on the hood. Two of them have Cragar SS Mags, third one I can't see the mags in the picture.Pats and the one in the front has Hooker Chrome side pipes, one in back can't tell.Spoilers are white. No Z/28 or SS badges,so these might of been plain jane Camaros originally.I know in the Pat Tobin magazine article that it mentions Pats car being white Phase III striping and deep blue lacquer paint. All 3 of these cars could of been the same color.Joe whats your thoughts on all three cars?

1968Motion427SSNova Oct 6th, 09, 07:24 PM Mike,Yes thats the picture you post of all 3 cars together, notice How all three are sooo similer. All 3 have white interiors which you can really see in the picture of it in the New Motion Book by MS.Bottom picture is a different car, notice front paint scheme and black interior?
JOE58 Oct 6th, 09, 07:44 PM That is strange to see 3 cars all with white interior.
Some of them probably ended up as full time race cars and may still be around.
1968Motion427SSNova Oct 6th, 09, 10:45 PM Joe,I agree! Sitting there together at the same time Pat Tobens car was there as featured in September 1973 Popular Hot Rodding.Just strange, dosen't make sense.
