Another dumb question the dumb Camaro owner. We got our new oil pan on and put new spark plugs and a new freeze out plug. Well I got it out on the street and romped down on the throttle and on the passenger side fluid flew up over the windshield and of course it got on the headers and smoked. We had the hood off waiting to get our yenko hood painted. The fluid appears to be anti-freeze, any ideas of where it is coming out of?

Overflow? Did you do a pressure test?

No pressure test, just scared the crap out of us. When sitting passenger side, every time dad romped down on it, about half way up the engine block is where it looked like it was coming from. But we were hauling ass and the wind could have made it look like it was from there.

So I have no idea.

We just put a new freeze plug in it. The last one was raining down water lol. Had a mechanic throw a new one in it. Hope he got it in ok.

Just running things by but if it is the passenger side make sure the two heater hoses aren't cracked. How about the radiator cap, is that working right?

Might be the heater hose. The car will shoot up to 210-230 then right back down to 180 degrees. Car is becoming a nightmare for sure.

the 210-230 temp is because the thermostat is closed.when it opens it lets water thru motor and it starts cooling.fill rad.up with water and run rpms up and look at all the freeze plugs, hoses, for leaks:(

I would just fill the coolant and do a pressure test. If it's got a leak it will show itself.
