Has any one installed a Hydroboost brake unit and created your own hoses. I am about to start installation on my 69 and would appreciate any tips:) Also what was the result of you breake pedal feel and are you happy with the results.
Thanks

Tom:
Mine came with the hoses so I didn't have to make them up. The instructions were pretty clear on mine so I just followed them. Believe me, if I could do it anyone can. :o
I forget the tech guys name as it has been over a year but he was helpful with any questions too. One thing you want to make sure of is that your power steering pump has a large enough reservior. The stock Saginaw pump and reservoir work well. Some of the aftermarket ones that look good have a smaller reservoir and they don't hold enough PS fluid to work properly.

I installed my own using a Astro van unit. Not too difficult. I had a hard time finding a 3/8 steel or brass hose 'T" for the return hoses. I later found brass ones at Menards.
I really like how it works and the feel of the pedal.

I really like the feel and the results. I did this on my Chevelle not my Camaro because the cam does not make very much vacuum at idle ;). It is important to follow the set up and break in procedure so there are no air bubbles or anything in the lines. You can down load the set up procedure from Hydratech http://www.hydratechbraking.com/. I used Hawk pads and the car stops great.
