i have a how to restore your camaro book that i bought years and years ago, and when reading it, they said that they had to move the alternator to see the DZ stamping on the 69' z28 they were looking to buy

this boggled me a bit, because i thought starting in 69' the alternator was moved to the drivers side of the engine, but there are pictures in the book that shows a very similar setup to the 67 and 68 sbc's

so what is the deal?

Other way around. In 69, it moved to the passenger side. 67 and 68's had the alternator on the driver side.

thanks,my bad, i posted a picture of my engine in another thread, and someone said it was a post 69 setup, and i misread it and was thinking it was a pre 69 setup
