Has anyone used bolt on rack & pinion such as Steeriods, Flaming River or Unisteer. What was the install like. How many Ujoints and what column did you use, stock? How is the handling, bump steer etc?:yes:

I want to switch but most kits say they will not fit my 383 with 1.75" Hooker Super Comp Headers.

I've used the Steeroids rack on 2 of my cars and love them. The benefits to the Steeroids kit is that it's a complete kit, the outer tie rod ends are adjustable for bump steer, you save a bunch of weight off the frontend (like 25lb's) and you use your stock column and p.s. pump.
The only down side is how low the rack bracket sits to the ground, but i'm running 2" drop hotchkis springs in front.
