Help please ! I understand the pump to headlight washer solenoid 2 wires. I understand the wiper motor 3 wires. I DON'T understand the 2 wires from motor to pump. Top wire at pump comes from motor and should be 12v from ignition, yellow in color , is this correct ? Bottom wire at pump comes from wiper switch and should be dark blue in color , is this correct ? If yes then I'll have to fid a way to test pump , then find a way to test the solenoid. Thanks for any help. (I have searched , printed pictures and read all posts RS to get to this point.)

Thanks guys. Fred's pic 240.16 shows blue wire from switch to bottom terminal on pump. I'll try that first and report back. Plumbing is understood , thanks.

Some good news. With proper wiring , pump actuates , I can see piston/plunger going up and down in the housing. Bad news , it is not moving any water. Next step is to see if I can rebuild it, per se, with O-rings or whatever is inside it. Stay tuned .............. have not gotten to RS solenoid yet..............

Update ! Pump works. Tried to replace main o-ring on plunger , but could not seperate plunger from it's bore/housing. Put it back as it was , plumbed only windshield squirters, hit the switch and shot water completely over the winshield and entire car ! Have some aiming to do. Tomorrow I finish plumbing on headlight squirters. Man are they hard to reach to replace hoses. Wish me good luck that solenoid works , the original reason I started this project....................

JJ, pump is rebuildable, Anco used to make a kit. If you remove the nozzle cover (4 screws) and check valves you can access the piston. If I recall correctly push in slightly and turn a bit and the piston comes off the rod. then the seal can be replaced.
