Finally got the car out of my buddies shop.:hurray::hurray::hurray: Rewired whole car, and put a new dash in it. Here is a few pics:thumbsup:

.......I get the same treatment:yes:....albeit mine could be considered slighty more modified than yours jd502. If the nay sayers saw the condition of my Camaro when I took possesion of it, they would have said it was not worth saving....but I, and everyone else that has a passion for the 1st Gen. know why we do what we do !!!!!!!!!!
My passion for the 1st Gen. Camaro encompasses the entire spectrum of builds. Whether they are stock with a 6 cylinder,slightly modified, Pro Touring and obviously Pro Street. I treat every 1st Gen. owner like I hope to be treated...........with respect. When I start to get grief from others about my Camaro I just smile and say "It's my dream car"!!!!!

Dave I agree. I grew up with my older brother always into early camaros. Never once did he trailer any of them, from X ram Z's to pace cars, to motions, etc. These cars are ment to be driven. I do find that alot of people that question my car usally have a trailer Queen. And that is fine if they want that. I will not give them crap. I will always drive my car and my brothers:yes: cars like I stole them.:thumbsup:

I agree with driving these 1st gen Camaro's. Have fun while you can, a guy like your self with a bad a$$ Camaro like yours and driving it is something to be proud of and what a sight to see :yes:.... I personally don't care to much for trailer queens :p.

Do you have any idea what the car runs inthe 1/4? It looks to be set up nicely, cage is certed, slicks, traction bars, etc... Just curious, I like to see what other blown cars run. I know you just got it back on the road but, I don't know why or how long it was "off" the road.

Last year it went 10.64 @137 mph 2.2 60ft Snapped wheelie bar wheels off on first run. It should go high 9's. spun well into second gear "DOUG NASH 5 SPD":D.

Very cool.You have the MPH to go 9's no problem. The Doug Nash 5 spd is insane, behind that kind of torque. I aplaud you for driving it, too many nice cars don't see any real street time.
