Does anyone know what this piece is they are referring to and where it can be obtained from? I searched 5 pages of search results and didn't turn up anything. I don't have my original panels.
"Original metal attachment flange will need to be transferred from back of original sail panels for correct installation."
Thanks

Yes the metal flange is just a flat metal peice that is attached to the orginal panel. It is used to hold the panel to the car. i thought new panels came with them. Iwish i could include a pic but sadly the Marine Corps will not let me bring my car to Iraq.

Thanks for your service and response. Just my luck that I'm missing parts and can't find them for sale anywhere.

As far as I know over the last 30 yrs the clips are not avalible from anywhere except out of a wrecking yard.
Original metal attachment flange
My orginal factory clips are white plastic that sort of work like velcro

Classic Industries has them. They are the same as the clips used to attach the door panels to the door. A set of twelve is $9.95. Part Number K13173. You can reach them at:

No they are not..well not the sails that came out of the factory ....and door panel clips dont give a smooth curve to the panel, one can see 'straights' between the clips.

]Oh man, now I'm really confused. Are they clips or some sort of flange? Any one have a pic of the flange?
I found this on Ebay. I have no idea what it is but it fit the description

These are small metal clips that fasten to the back of the panel. The are about 1.25 inches square. They have a sleeve or pocket stamped into them. With the clip attached the panel slides over a tab and hanges in place. The tab is attached to the frame structure of the car. (Somewhat like hanging a picture on a nail.) I don't know how correct you want to be but, I have seen some very nice restorations where the owner just glued the panel to the car frame and skipped the clips.

This is a picture of the flanges that the clips attach to on my 67. I don't know if the 68 is the same. I haven't seen them in any catalog and I am missing one too. I plan on attaching them to my new sail panels with 1/8" pop rivets. The clips that fit in the pocket of these flanges look exactly like the door clips.
