Just wondering how to stop them from leaking. The oil is comming through the c-clip eliminator. Not a lot just enough to oil down the brakes. BTW Moser eliminators and axles.

C-clip eliminators are prone to leaking. My old Mark Williams parts leaked, as do many other brands.

The best fix is to use a weld-on large bearing Ford end with a Chevy bolt pattern.

Not sure on your design, but on mine (Strange Engineering), you just need to replace the seal.

How old are your C-clip eliminators? I have Moser Engineering eliminators as well and have yet to have a problem with them, I installed them about 2 1/2 years ago. Did you install them yourself or were they installed since you owned the car? Can you tell where they are leaking from? I don't see where they can leak (from memeory) if installed right, unless the bearing itself fails. Maybe the ones I have are of a different design, I don't remember there being a seal that could leak.

The bearing bracket bolted the the axle flange usually leaks. The cheap foam gasket sent in the kit isn't the best in the world, plus its an open foam gasket.

When I installed mine years ago, the bearing itself was sealed, and had a nice press fit onto the axle, and a plate bolted to the flange.

I cleaned the mating surfaces with lacquer thinner, removed all the burrs, laid a small bead, 1/16 inch diameter of Chrysler's Black RTV about the backing plate, both sides, and bearing bracket. Bolted it together and no leaks.

I used the RTV also, with no leaks.

I put lots of silicone between the bearing holder and axle flange. Not coming from there. It is coming between the bearing and axle or bearing and bearing holder. I installed them about 7 years ago if i remember correctly. They have been a pain since day 1.

I see, mine did not come with a foam gasket it came with RTV. I also had to press them ont the axles.

If yours is not leaking from the flange, that would tell me that it has to be a worn out bearing. The bearings on mine are sealed, so if they leak from there (which is the only possible place), then I would think it is just time to replace them. 7 years of service doesn't sound too bad to me.

Let us know what you find, maybe the newer ones are just designed a little better.

Yeah, I would pull the axles and see if you have any play in that bearing, or at least inspect where the oil is coming from. May need to install new bearings, no big deal.
