Hello everyone, I have a 1994 camaro Z28 with a LT1 that has trickflow heads, LT4 cam, scat crank and rods, and a few other things. But my problem is that after driving for around 5 minutes the car starts to run lean and my air/fuel mixture gauge is pegged at lean, the engine starts bogging and popping and loses a massive amount of power. I dont know wether it is in the computer because of the new engine parts or if it has to do with the fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel pump etc. Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks, Miles

Are you getting a chenk engine light, if you are you need to scan the codes, sounds like a temp. sending unit issue.

It sounds like the delay in time you get before the car starts to run lean is the time is taking for the O2 sensor to come online. OBD 1 equipped vehicles DID NOT always set a trouble code when the O2 sensor went bad. It had to completely shut down before an OBD 1 vehicle would set a code. The manufacturers said that O2 sensors should be replaced every 30K miles, but who does that. More than likely, it's the O2 sensor that is bad. Before you go replacing it though, have you verified that the engine is going lean, OTHER than the Lambda meter? The gauge could be bad, but I doubt it. 1st you need to verufy that the engine is in fact going lean.
