Gentlemen,
I've read through a bunch of the previous threads and haven't found this answered so here we go...
I added a factory tictoctach to my 68 camaro. I installed a new printed circuit while I was at it. I have MSDs full ignition system (pro-billet distrib, 6AL box, blaster 2 coil).
That's the set up, here's the question: Can I connect the tach output from the 6AL box directly to either of the factory coil wires? I don't know if the original set up was a voltage or current triggered setup so which wire would I connect (the brown wire or the yellow and white/tan) I also bought the tach adapter from MSD if needed.
2nd question: on the back of the tictoctach there are 3 screw terminals. The printed circuit attaches to 2 of them leaving the middle terminal untouched. What should attach here? Is this a power lead for the clock function? I have a factory assembly manual but this is not covered...
Thanks!

answer to number 2 is the 3rd lug is for the clock, runs to fuse panel with full time voltage, clock works with key off. number 1 is debateable,i have a ttt, msd blaster 2 coil, with no box but have the tack filter jimM made, works great an steady, would suggest a tack filter west68

That makes sense for the clock thanks!
Anyone have an ignition box that could tell me which coil wire is the trigger for the tach so I know which to connect the signal output from the box to?

I have the same setup as you have described. This link should help, you will want to use the voltage trigger diagram.
