Is there a method that I can use to raise the engine ID number. I didn't see a number on the block pad. The motor is a Tri Star rebuilt 350 SBC short block, which apparently was slightly decked. The Deck Height on the rebuild spec sheet is listed as 9.010" +/- .004".

Based on the crank GM# 3932442, the crank was cast July 15, 1976

Thanks for all response ahead of time.

If it is a rebuild from Tri-Star, it really doesn't matter what the block was from. Anything could be in there now. You should be able to see if it is a 2 or 4 bolt. Just see what the block casting number is and it should be enough.

Also get the casting date.

Also get the casting date.

It is a GM 3970010 casting code with A / 08 for a date code .

Thanks!
