Hi everyone,
I'm new to the site and I would like to know where to look for any body identification stampings other than trim tag and VIN plate. I want to fully document (photograph) a frame on mechanical restoration of a friends original 6032 mile car. Also, if there is a registry for these cars, I would be happy to input all of this information I find for reference.
Thanks in advance for any helpful tips and advice:D

Actually the car was so cool, they had to make a website for it.

yeah, it is cool
and www.nastyz28.com is THE site for 2nd gen questions
not sure how a 6k mile would need to be restored, but ORIGINAL, untouched "barn find" cars are MUCH more valuable that "restored" cars

Many mechanical items were changed way "back in the day"
It has a Mallory dizzy and coil, headers and a non-stock 3310 (780 vac).
So far I have confirmed that the rear axle (COZ 0701 E) is correct, although the gears were changed to 4.88, which also requires a carrier change to a 4 series. The original carrier and 3.73 gear are in the trunk. They are dated correct to the car.
The engine has the original intake and alternator, and the air pump is also in the trunk.
I haven't gotten around to checking the engine or trans code, but I suspect that they will match.
The glass date codes are all correct. I would like to know how to de-code the radiator tag (LG IA CS 62), the trans cooling line (FY5576), steering box (BP in yellow) and windshield wiper motor (8790844 142 0 4 A). I have been on the Nasty site, but I would like even more detail if I could find it.

Radiator info is here: http://www.camaros.org/coolingsystems.shtml
LG is correct for a 70 Z28 auto.

The 70+ Camaros also have a (date?) code on the front subframe as discussed at nastyz28 here:
