I am trying to determine which terminals on my 71 Camaro wiper motor are to accept either 12V or are the ground terminal. Is there a way to use a multimeter so I don't hook power to the ground terminal or vice versa? I have the single ground wire correctly wired and also the light blue ground in conjuction with feed wire(because I had a picture of those three terminals), but I do not wish to install the dark blue ground wire and the other feed wire backwards. If anybody has a 71, a picture of the wiper motor connections would be worth a thousand words.

If it's like a 68, you'll have a yellow wire that supplies power (ACC power I believe) and two blue wires that provide ground through the high / low switch. There also should be a ground from the motor frame to the firewall either through the screws or with a copper shorting strap accross one of the rubber mounts. There is a wiper bench test diagram on here - search for wiper motor bench test in the electrical forum for a pencil-drawn schematic.

I was able to determine the wires in question are the washer ground and feed. My wiper works, so I will wait to find a stock '71 Camaro in one of our many car shows in Southern California to confirm the correct hook-up for the washer motor.
