I had the privilege of living in the town next to where Motion's shop was located. My friends and I would stop there often to oogle the cars and walk around the speed shop like it was a museum.
Anyway, does any one know of or remember the custom parts Joel had hanging on the wall for sale? I had a 73 Camaro at the time and purchsed a blue mirrored dash panel that was custom ordered. It was a three piece kit that covered the stock woodgrain gauge panel and attached with double sided tape. It looked awesome!
He also had candy colored valve covers and a lot of other neat one off parts. Just reminicing. Those were the days.
I also remember when they finished the install of the b&m blower and B&M super injection on Joel's Phase III Iroc. He used to test all the cars right on Sunrise Hwy starting at the stoplight just west of the shop. They would launch off the light full throttle and blast past the shop!

What year were you there?

Around 1988 Motion built a yellow Iroc Z and also a red one that was built as a show car for B&M.

Joel's daily driver was a white Motion Monte Carlo Areo coupe with B&M blower and a bottle of nitrous in the trunk

My high school was two blocks from the shop. I would say from 1982 on. My buddy had a pretty wicked 81 Camaro that ruled the local streets. He got a lot of his parts at Motion.
At night during the summer we would hangout in the train station parking lot across from the shop and street race when there wasn't any traffic on sunrise hwy.
The cops never bothered us until the roudy people showed up drinking beer and smashing bottles in the lot.
Some pretty impressive cars back then for guys that didn't have a lot of money. Our high school looked like a car show out front. Muscle cars galore! Now a days its just 4 doors and rice rockets.
