I have about three sets of '67 door window regulators and trying to use the best ones for my rebuild. I think that the difference between the deluxe regulator and the standard regulator is just the length of the shaft that the window handle attaches too. Somewhere around 7/8ths to 1 1/8th I think. Anyway the best set I have might be a deluxe regulator and the car came with standard interior and I am going to put it back in. So if I use the deluxe regulator will the interior and window handle fit and not look bad?

Thanks

The window crank handle will not fit up against the door panel properly, it will be a visual thing you won't like. Take the better of the regulators and swap the standard shaft into it. I haven't done the swap but know others have. I don't think it beyond you if you are installing a regulator in the first place...

I didn't know there was a difference on the window regulators.....My plum 67 when I bought it had standard door panels even though it was a deluxe car. I am pretty sure that it had the original regulators. I don't remember any difference with the fit of the window cranks on the standard vs deluxe door panels.

IIRC, deluxe will work with standard (shorter handle center to center) but standard won't work with deluxe as the longer handle interfers with the contour of the door panel where it molds to the arm rest.
