Who ever stamped that doesn't have an "f-in" clue what they are doing ;)

Short pad, so wrong version of the "010" block (later date). Restamp on an incorrect block.

It might be legitimate stamp for something, but it's not a 1969 Camaro Z/28 engine stamp. It's not even a 1969 engine pad, and it does not have the correct format.

There are crooks out there trying to screw people over. I got screwed on an engine. It was an LT-1. LT-1 block but had #4 cylinder damaged. I wanted to kill the guy. He actually rebuilt the engine and tried to hone it out. It had to have a sleve put in. Its a shame, you can't trust anybody.

I've seen those same "DZ" fonts which are stamped on that engine before, on other engines. It's very easy to distinguish the real from the fake.

If you want to know about DZ stampings, the best thing you can do is search THIS forum for DZ stamps or DZ blocks. Look at all the stamping and you will begin to see how to tell which ones are fake. That will help you pass on all the fakes out there.
