It was one of those days today. Just so I can confirm I'm either not crazy or should quit cars all together a 168 tooth flexplate DOES fit within the housing of a TH350 right? Never heard they didn't but my efforts to install my transmission today ended in stuff just not fitting. Could very well be the angle I had it at, I was doing it alone and needless to say, under a car with something as heavy as you weigh--- it ain't easy.

Measured it all up before starting and it seemed like it would go easily.

Yes a 168 tooth Flexplate will fit with a T-350. Just need to make sure that you have the correct converter bolt pattern as there are two different sizes and it all depends on the converter. Also make sure you have the right starter for a 168 tooth.

Was the converter all of the way in the pump?

Converter wasn't the pinch point, it was more like flexplate hitting the top of the underside of the tranny shield while the dowles would not align. Musta had a bad angle
