I'm looking to dye my original Black GM door panels to a bright blue color as well as the wind laces and end caps.
I see allot of recommendations for Bulldog prep. What kind and where do you guys recommend to purchase the correct color Bright Blue Code 732 int paint? I'm thinking what one can buy out of a spray can is junk and probably should go to a paint supply shop to have it custom made?

Classic industries, Ground up & all the resto places should have it. I have always used a promoting agent like pro bond. It makes a difference. If you don't prep it right you will get an alligator skin design. Good luck. Brian.

Not all the vinyl dye/paint in a spray can is junk, the dupli color stuff is junk and not worth buying. It has way too much gloss to it and will flake off. SEM's is a real good product, and they offer more factory colors.

Do you use a "prep" in addition to a primer, or can you use just one, if so which is better?

I clean them real good and use a adhesion promoter like BULLDOG or the SEM's, and I have not had any trouble out of the stuff that I have done.
