Edelbrock performer rpm dual plane comes with plenum divider milled 1/2 inch atop the big block.Makes the carb look a little bigger than it really is with no loss of midrange torque.Great manifold and pair it with 3310 holley vac sec that just flat out sizes itself for the application . pdq67 Jul 3rd, 09, 11:07 PM A good old Weiand 8005 Q-Jet dual plane is better imho. pdq67 Tom P Jul 4th, 09, 06:35 AM I ended up with the Edelbrock Performer on my 396/325 and am happy with it - even with carb, headers and mild cam I don't spin past 5500rpm The Performer RPM is taller - check your hood clearance. What kind of hood do you have? Tom 67speedfreak Jul 4th, 09, 07:35 AM Performer RMP air gap Definately. Moonpie Jul 4th, 09, 07:35 AM Fatblock nailed it. You definitly want a dual plane. Dan E. Jul 4th, 09, 07:49 AM I agree with fatblock, I'm running a performer rpm on my 396 and am very happy with, can spin the tires in 3rd gear, great torque curve, works very well with my 4.10 gears. Dan E. 69 SS396 4spd. 4.10 posi. x66 coupe pdq67 Jul 4th, 09, 10:01 PM Again, a mild smaller BB engine running a Q-Jet, the good old Weiand 8005 is about as good as it gets. pdq67 SIDEWAYS Jul 5th, 09, 06:24 AM Cant go wrong with an RPM, works everytime its tried. |
