We had some freakishly good (for July) air last night at the track. Temps were in the low 70s with a DA of 2000 ft. Last week it was over 3100 ft.!!

With the water/methanol injection and a conservative (safe) tune I run a bit rich so the car really responds to the better air. I ran new bests all around.

1.406 60'
4.09 330'
6.326 @ 111.250 in the 1/8th.

I was really surprised by the 60'. I know it's not a great number but that's due to the tight converter I am running. I was surprised by how much it is picking up from when I first got the combo together. As a bonus, it was very consistent and I won the Street Tire class. A great night all around!

Good Job! Very fast ride for sure. Even more impressive is the fact that it's a real street car.

Cool. How are you liking the blow thru?

Thanks guys! It's nice when your blood, sweat and tears from a project finally pays off.

I love the blow thru deal. It's simple, inexpensive (compared to EFI) and you can really get away with an aggressive set up. The carb acts like an intercooler as the air intake charge is cooled by the atomization of the fuel. Early on I was worried that 9.3:1 was going to be a bit high, but I have not come close to any detonation yet.

Greg, I saw (over on the YB board) that you purchased a water/meth sys.
I have a few questions for you.
1. Did you use it on this most recent test?
2. With race or pump gas?
3. What was your total timing at max boost?
4. What mix of meth to water?

Thanks ---Bill.

Greg, I saw (over on the YB board) that you purchased a water/meth sys.
I have a few questions for you.
1. Did you use it on this most recent test?- Absolutely. It turns on at 5lbs. which is pretty much the initial hit
2. With race or pump gas? Pump gas 93 Octane
3. What was your total timing at max boost? 34* at 8 PSI
4. What mix of meth to water? 70% water/ 30% meth. It's blue windshield waher fluid!! If you are EFI then you can run a much higher % of meth.

Thanks ---Bill.

Bill, See my answers above. Do you still have extra pulleys you would consider trading? I have a 4.75" and am looking for a 4.5 or 4.38 potentially. :D

Sweet Greg! Congrats on the WIN too. :D

What are you using for a carb? Any mods to it?

Eric, I sent my stock Holley 4779 750 DP off to the Carb Shop to be modified. They mill off the choke horn, epoxy shut the hole where the choke arm goes through, installed new boosters and air bleeds and modified all of the circuits, etc. It has been great right out of the box. All I had to do was turn in the 4 corner idle screws for peak vacuum and I was good to go.

Greg, I'm using my 4.38" now.
Also have a 4.0", have not used successfully yet, and a 3.85" I got from Ron.
He has my old 4.75" .

Cool. Do you know what they did for a power valve?

I am looking at the build sheet and all it says is "Power Valve:4.5". I don't think they do a boost referenced PV for a supercharger, but they do for a turbo build.

I see thanks. I built a couple BRPVs for my friend's Procharged ride and they work pretty good. Only problem is that I am having trouble getting the right spring in it to keep it closed long enough. For some reason, this engine likes to be lean until it is making a couple psi of boost.
