I am looking at buying a set of these. Anyone else have them installed? The cheap headers I have right now hang too low on the drivers side. I am hoping these will fit better? Or should I go with a set of the shorty ones, hooker part # 2466

thanks!

X2, same thing here, had them for 15 years , finally got fed up with the hang down. Other than that , they were good. I went to Thorley 376-Y1c TriY for a street header. Later when I went to larger port heads, I switched again to Dougs D368.

I also had ground clearance issues with Hookers on my BB 69 Camaro. They are not cheap, but I put a set of Stahls on last year. Much more clearance ,even going from 2 to 2 1/8 inch tubes. I can change all of the plugs leaning over the fender-no more going under the car.Best fitting headers I have ever had. Picked up over a tenth, also.

Same problem with the DS. I run a custom built header from S&S. Long tube,no clearance problems with power steering. Several other members from this site have bought these headers from rtdistributors@msn.com They are in Portland

I used DynaTech and they fit perfect.

Which Dynatech headers do you have? The Summit site says the 401-911301 MuscleMAXX will fit a small block with AC and power steering. Do they hang low on the driver's side like the Hooker Comp 2451 headers?
