i need help decoding this axle please. stamping on axle tube is dd0528b.casting number on housing is3852980n. date code e155. thats all i could find.i need to change the ring and pinion and i believe there are different carrier types.any help would be greatly appreciated.it now has 4.88,39-8 and i would like to go to 4.11.

The 4.88:1 Ratio could be :
a Thick gear (3-series gear) on a 3-series carrier.
a Thin gear (4-series gear) on a 4-series carrier.
a Thin gear (4-series gear) with a spacer on a 3 series carrier. (This is not recommended.)
