" Up for auction is an authentic Trim or Cowl Tag for a 1969 Camaro Indy Pace Car.
The photo speaks for itself.
This is in fact a REAL Cowl Tag off of a 69 Z11 Camaro Pace Car.
Help complete that Tribute Pace Car or perhaps to complete the real thing."

Here is the reply I got back from ebay on another one:

Dear Jim,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to a listing you feel may violate
our polices.

Thank you for contacting eBay about listing number:

270421502105

I have reviewed the information you sent us regarding a possible
violation of our Motors Prohibited Items policies. At this point I do
not have enough evidence to show that the member has violated any
current eBay listing policies.

Cowl Tags are allowed to be listed on eBay. Therefore, no action will be
taken at this time on this issue. However, VIN plates are not permitted
on the site. This policy also includes, vehicle Identification Number
(VIN) Plates, VIN Plate Rivets, Vehicle Titles, Vehicle Title Stock
which are also not allowed to be listed on eBay. Vehicle Titles may only
be referenced in listings when accompanied by a functioning vehicle.

For more information on our listing guidelines, please visit our policy
page at the following URL:

I appreciate your continued help in keeping eBay a safe and fair place
to trade. Thank you for being part of the eBay community.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.

Sincerely,
Veronyca

"Matt Halprin, eBay’s Vice President, Trust & Safety, said, “After much consideration, the Trust & Safety policy team – along with our executive leaders at eBay Inc.– have made the decision to further restrict more of these items than federal and state regulations require".

Interesting how eBay policies vary widely depending on the product being sold. The above reference is in regard to gun parts.

I was wondering the other day how many cowl tags HEARTBEAT CITY has sold. Remember about a year ago they announced they were to begin selling them? I think each one was $500 or something like that, only proving they know what they are being used for. Each and every day, a fake tag is put on a car somewhere... what a shame.

That is exactly why TC should NOT allow Trim tags on their site to be sold , they have more common sense than to allow a passionate hobby become a Joke.
