What is the best paint colour to match the gauge needles on the console cluster.
Seems to be almost a flurescence orange or red.
Has anyone had any luck with a paint match?
Thanks you in advace.

I have bought a florescent Orange Spray bomb from Walmart before and the match was bang on. I have a needle puller to take of the needles, but I have also carefully masked off the guages etc and lightly dusted them.

Needle puller? Is that a tool that is obtainable by a hobbist, is it worth while to but or is there a trick to removing the needles. Possibly a picture of the puller, could I fab one?
Thank you for the paint info rszmjt, I will definately give it a try.

I have had the needle puller for many years, I think I got it from Paragon or Zip Products maybe, it says made by Ashcroft Handjack on the box. I dont like to do it unless I have to change the guage face, as it is very easy to bust off the needle shaft or bend it. Also a trick we used to use at the Corvette shop is to use lemon pledge to lightly polish the guage faces using eye glass soft tissue availaible from any optometrist. Worked for me!

Thanks again for the tips, very useful. I think I will leave the needles intact, do as you mentioned by carefully masking off the faces and lightly dusting them. Great tip for freshening up the faces afterwards, cool.
