I am working on a plastic door panel that has a crack in it and I first used fiberglass to try to repair it but when it dried it just peeled off and did not stick. Right now I have a 2 part epoxy drying on it and tomorrow I'll see if it sticks.

If this doesnt work what can I use? Also I am going to paint it. What is needed to get the paint to stick to it? thanks

If it is an ABS plastic (sounds like it), just use a regular soldering iron on the back the "smear" the crack, which will close and providde some strength. You can also melt in addition ABS plastic (trim some off an edge that doesnt show) in the crack to build material up. Smooth it out with a hot flat edge. I have have good luck doing this.
