Hey All

I have 2 potential wheels to install as I wrap up the interior. One is the 68 deluxe (which is what came out) The other is an aftermarket that as the wood wheel install kit. Can someone supply a reassembly diagram that clearly shows where each part goes for either setup? I have looked at the service manual and the assembly manual and can not clearly tell which piece goes in which order. (YES - a photo would have been helpful from the disassembly 2 years ago...)

Found a diagram online, but am still having a problem. First I put the black thin plastic sheild, then the "cup" that has the spring stem, then the large spring over the shaft. Steering wheel - washer and nut. Now I can put the thin metal contact plate in the cup of the steering wheel. Next would be the main cup with the 3 screws and plastic retainer. MY PROBLEM is the 3 screws are not threading into the wheel.

ok - I own my own post! :) So, I pull the black OER rlacement wheel that I can not get the screws threaded. I take the original wheel to Ace and test screw. No problem on a size 10 (can't remeber if it's 32 or 24). I try them in the OER replacement wheel and you guessed right - neither the 10 32 nor the 10 24 will thread in and the 8 is to narrow. So - I have an original wheel of different color than I want that works and a replacement of what I do want that I can't use.
