View Full Version : 1968 passenger side kick panel installation

hi guys i removed my passenger side non a/c kick panel to get at the door switch to replace my rear light harness. the problem now is i am having a heck of a time trying to the kick panel reinstalled.what is the secret to installing this panel? getting frustrated!any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you don't have a/c that piece that goes so deep does not really do much. You can notch off the piece that is getting in your way.

Make sure you put a lot of sealant around this as you install it so that water can not get between the plastic and the metal. That is a common problem.

Well you kinda have to muscle it back in.. Just becarefull to not overmuscle it... when I did mine, ac car, I slide the snorkle in first then pulled the door edge back and slid it over the lip. I had tokinda punch where the panel fits under the dash's corner to get it past it. Make sure you have that grey putty or something like around the circle where the snorkle goes.
