View Full Version : Yeahoo im keeping my 69 camaro!!!
Skeeter55 Jul 12th, 09, 10:36 AM OK,
Straight to the point as you guys know my business has slowed down and my wife hasn't worked in 2-months.. We had my twins 7yrs old birthday party yesterday at our house and my friends and family were in shock when my car was setting across the street in my neighbors driveway (to keep the kids away) and they just found out that the car was gonna be sold and of course to an awesome guy and a friend from TC member... These 2- guys are the only people that i had come over to look and take out for a ride in my car.
I do want to say thank you to Van as he was able to PM me and start the selling process (yeah im gonna have to take these guys out to a nice dinner and drinks) But i cant sell the car. I'm relieved but i hope i didn't hurt anyone feelings or there hopes on purchasing another bad a$$ Camaro.
This doesn't mean im out of the woods yet, but im putting up a hell of a fight and best of all. I let my wife make this final decision to keep the car as i was gonna let it go.
So thank you again guys and gals and fellow Team Camaro members :beers:.

Dougs72Nova Jul 13th, 09, 05:08 PM I missed the other thread Skip. I didn't know you were having hard times and was going to sell the Camaro. I am glad you are keeping it. As you know i recently sold my Camaro for the same reasons, and low and behold right after i sold it things got better and i would have been able to keep it. TOO LATE! It's always best to wait until there is no other way and then sell if it's a must.

Thanks Doug and i do remember your thread thats sucks but ive also read that you have an amazing Nova which truthfully is one of my favorites. As ive had 1962-1963-1965 and 1969 wow those were the good old days.

I'm really glad things are looking up and you are keeping the car. That is such a beautiful car I would hate to see someone get rid of it only because they had to.
Best wishes (and take that wife out to a nice dinner!),
Dee

ChevyThunder Jul 14th, 09, 03:00 AM Skip no worries ! I am glad you are keeping your car and it was fun going over the car with you and talking about our common passion. You have a very nice family too...
My buddy is bummed no doubt but that is OK. He is a car guy and he understands. Thanks for taking the time with him.
Now I have the daunting task of finding him another car that is as nice. That is a tall order but hopefully the journey will be fun :)
Gary L Jul 14th, 09, 07:34 AM I have a friend that sold his first gen to get thru a mild money issue. He is sick over it and it afraid he will have a hard time getting back in the game 3 years from now. Good luck.

We need to hook up when we find Chris a bad to the bone Camaro. I talk to him yesterday and he is bummed but he does understand being a cool car guy that he is (maybe more of a car guy then i). I will be on the hunt for him even though his in no hurry... You guys were a great couple of Camaro enthusiast guys and i appreciate you guys taken in the interest of my car . I think he realy enjoyed that ride i gave him in the Orange Crush, i probably would get in big trouble if i were to go into details.
