Hello All: I own a 68 SS 350 with the 4 speed. I have had her since '86 parked since '95.(kids) It is not # matching but it is fun to drive and I love the lines of the '68. I hope to be on the road very soon. I think it is changing from an interest to a passion partially because sites like this have so much to offer.

Welcome Apex I bought my car in 86 as well. Finally getting around to doing what I intended to do when I bought it 25 years ago. I found the list of parts that I wanted to buy in '86. Sure wish I had purchased the parts back then. Funny thing though all of the parts I wanted were either still Original GM parts through the dealer or used parts. I am not sure when they started mass producing everything, but it sure is a trip to think you could have just walked into a Chevy dealer and ordered any sheet metal part that was available. Welcome to the site. Just don't start working on your car whatever you do, you might never stop!

I think I've been asked "When are you getting that Camaro on the road?"everyday for the last 14 years.
What really hurts is I could have bought a numbers matching Z28 for a few thousand dollars more at the time. Doh!!

Tell me about it. When I bought my car in 86 it was a toss up between 2 cars. The 6 banger I bought and a 68 RS Z28. That car was so sweet. Maroon with white stripes and headrests. What the hell was I thinking? I figured the 6 would be a better family car!Well I am getting my car now, even though it will be a clone.
