I'm a Tri-Five guy at heart and recently picked up this Camaro. I know that the car came with the standard Black bucket seat interior, was Royal Plum, ans had a rear speaker as well as the ext. group mouldings. My question, which I guess I should have asked first,..was was the motor and tranny setup? ( The car currently has a 302 and 5 speed Tremec). Thanks, Tom

7 = 1967 model year
N = Norwood, OH assembly plant
1666XX = vehicle serial number sequence

Decode for body number: 066743

01A = Built the First week of January.
67-12437 = Standard Interior Coupe.
NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio.
760 = Standard Black Bucket Seats.
Z = (A50) Strato Bucket Seats (without headrests).
M-M = Car Color is Royal Plum

Options:
2R = (U80) Speaker rear
3K = (Z21) Deluxe exterior trim

All the Serial# will tell you is that the Car had a V8 , If there were Group 4 options they would tell you if the car was an SS Big or Small Block or Z/28, since there is none its likely it was a Base Coupe with a 327

It was one of the two 327's, but no way to tell which one.

Unfortunately the car is a dark green (lincoln) with silver stripes. The paint is very nice but not the correct colors. The car almost looks black until you get really close.

Post the numbers to the 302. It could find its home.
