My car is a 350 3rd Week of March build with no air. Would this alternator be date correct? Would another date code match better for my build date? Is there some sort of correct range?

Its a 37 amp, was that correct as well?

An 1100834 would be a 'better' number.
You can sell your's to a Corvette guy - good match for a April/May 67 car ...
That date would be a tad late for your build date.
A 37 Amp is standard.
A 61A 1100843 is standard if you have A/C.
HD 42A (1100842) or 61A (1100849) would be correct if car has/had an optional system, RPO-K59 = 42A/ RPO-K85 = 61A.

Thanks for the info.
Once again I have proved my genius by posting a date a month after my car was built. I have a lot of trouble with the whole March / April thing.
I don't actually own that one. I am looking to get one with a correct date code and put it in my car. Saw that one on ebay.

Isn't that number for a later year? I look them up on ebay and only see like 69 and later. Mines a 67.

DOH !!! :o
Sorry, I just gave someone info on a 69 and completely overlooked your's being a 67 ...
Yes, 1100693 is a 'good' number for your 67 - but, the date is about a week or so late for your assembly date.
It 'could' be possible for it to have arrived near the same day(s) the vehicle was final assembled - but it's not in the normal date spread.
They were installed at the factory during assembly, not at engine plant.
If you car has A/C or the RPO-K76 HD charging system I mentioned above, then the number would have been 1100750 for the 61A unit.
A 42A 1100696 was also available as a seperate option.
Sorry for the confusion ...

No problem, I found one from March 7th. Now I just have to learn how to make it look nice. Thanks again for the info.

I've had great results with soaking them in Carb. cleaner and then a mild 'soda' blast cleaning to restore the outer finish.
The stamped 'Application Code' (two letters) will come off during this procure - if it's still even on there ...
