Hi guys, need some guidance. I just finished removing upper and lower a-arms and replacing bushings and ball joints, now, i have them back on the car but have not lowered car back on the ground yet. My question is about when to tighten bushings. Do i leave them completely loose til car is back on ground with full weight ??( motor and trans are in car) . Or do i tighten them fairly snug , lower car , then finish tightening?? First time doing this so I don't want to mess up. Thanks in advance to anyone who has any advice.

Just snug everything up to remove play then put car on the ground, bounce a couple of times. Then torque the bolts to spec.

I believe the only thing you definitely shouldn't fully torque until the car is on the ground and bounced a few times are the four nuts and jam nuts on the upper arm dogbones for the alignment.

No, you want to wait to torque the control arm bushings until its on the ground because that way there is no pre-loaded deflection on the bushings. The theory is: If you tighten up the bushings all the way with the car in the air and the control arms hanging down, then that will be the bushings neutral position, and when the car is lowered, there will be a twisting force on the bushings as the control arms raise as the car is on the ground.
