View Full Version : Hello, long time owner, 1st time poster
jerkbucket Jul 15th, 09, 01:25 PM 1st time posting on a camaro forum, anyway.
My wife and I have a 68 RS. Her parents gave it to her in 1991 for graduation. It was a daily driver until 2000, and it's been sitting without an engine since then.
Recently, I decided to try and get it back on the road. Not a show car yet, but in time, who knows.

jerkbucket Jul 16th, 09, 01:36 PM Hey thanks! The car had it's rear quarters replaced before it was painted that green color, it used to be butternut yellow I guess. I also don't have the original engine, but have a proper dated 327 for it with 461 heads. But that stuff will stay under the bench for now, as I'm putting in a 327 with a "CE" code on it, with 186 casting heads from a '68 vette. The CE 327 is a factory 11:1 forged shortblock crate engine, small journal crank with a big-journal oil filter pad, kind of a unique engine, and could have been in a 68 at some time.
