I'm open to suggestions on where to get a good set of tail light to body gaskets for by 68 RS.

I tried the ones from Classic and Rick's/Ecklers in both the flat foam style and the repro molded and honestly they are not very high quality. The foam ones sag and squish out in all the wrong places and the final set of molded ones from Rick's had tons of extra flashing from where the rubber went over the mold. I spent 30 minutes per gasket with a razor blade shaving off the excess just so they looked half way decent. I'll use them till I can find something better.

Thanks,

Get a good used GM pair. Mine are origional and have been off and on 4 times since '84 and they don't leak. I've had other origional used ones on different cars that didn't leak. I've sold others to people requesting origionals and they don't leak either. Perhaps I'm just lucky but if they are in good condition there should be no issues unless the tailpanel has been butchered. I've never used the aftermarket ones because of bad reviews. If someone is now making quality gaskets I would like to know myself.

Thanks. I'd love to use originals but the "person" who owned the 68 before I bought it butchered the gaskets and thus I had leaks. The repro rubber molded ones would be fine if they didn't have the bleed over flashing. The flat foam ones just don't fit or look right at all.
