I have a 383 in my 69, I am trying to get the carb adjusted, it is a Holley 700 DP with 70 jets in front and 74's in rear.. I am not sure about the power valve size it is stock out of the box.. I tried to adjust it with a vacuum guage, but it is no stable, vacuum reading bounces between 6 and 10 on the gauge.. I have a slight surge, cam is a 230/236 duration at 50..I may have to change power valves, but I wanted some input on this before I spend any $$$ on parts.. ANy help would be great Thanks

Go to Holley.com and look up your list number, gives you all the stock specs. on the carb.

The surging may be from too light of weights and the timing moving, or no vacuum advance.Try to see that vacuum is hooked up and no leaks, or without vacuum to see if any changes.
