Just wondering if I can get templates or measurement of fuel/brake lines for first gen Camaros, so I can make them my self. It cost over $400 to send them to Sydney (because the package and the size). Any site where I can get this? Thanks
Martin

How "assembled" is your car?
I made up my lines with the body on a rotisserie and subframe without engine.
I would assume a nightmare job making up lines on an otherwise complete car.

Buy high quality tools. You will need a double flaring tool and a tube bender, among other basic tools. Don't expect to find the correct flare nuts for your Camaro in Australia either. Classic Tube can sell you the right ones -unless you're using non-OE brakes of course.

If you tell us which year you are working on, I think we can probably describe how the lines are run, and/or provide pics of bends and clamp locations. If you know where the factory secured the lines at various locations, it is just a matter of bending as you go to get the lines to generally fit as OE.

The only real issue I would have with bending my own is that I like to have the OE style wire wrapping to prevent stone and other damage.

Thanks for the replies!! The fuel/Brake lines are for a 67 Camaro SS/RS Convertible. Going trough a full restoration. I don't have the original ones (my mistake, don't ask!). And I'm going back to factory specs, and adding to what BlackoutSteve said, there is hardly anything for camaros here.
I could bend the lines as I go, but how I get the OE style wire wrapping around them? Thanks again

I believe the rash guard wrappings are slid over the pipe after it is bent but before fittings/flares are done at the ends. Are the wrapping/windings going to be available to you?

Mmm, maybe there are not as expensive as the lines kit to ship. I need to find that out.

For ease of fitting, the pre-bend lines will be much easier.
If you're making lines from bundy, you would be fitting, checking, removing, bending over and over. You won't be able to get the bender into tight places or use it accurately. It would be a nightmare with poor results in my view.

As for the gravel gaurd (protective spring wrap) it's available from Classic, Rick's, all the big name Camaro suppliers as well as Classic Tube and other brake component suppliers. It is slipped over the lines after bending.
