I made a big mistake by putting this kit on my car. I didn't find this site until after I installed, then saw various other posts with problems. I installed the kit along with new coil springs. Took the car to good alignment shop, and the guy said he can't align the car with the spindles. They push the tires in to far on the top, can''t adjust it out enough. Anybody else had this problem. Any ideas as far as what standard spindles I could use and still reuse the rotors and calipers from the CPP kit?

I have one of their kits and I am using it with stock drum brake spindles but I have not had it aligned yet. Since they are stock there should not be a problem with alignment but I guess we'll see.

I didn't realize they sell a kit that fits stock spindles. I think I might just pay the extra money and buy a Wilwood set that fits the stock spindles, and just trim the springs to get it sitting lower.

It would help if you said which kit you have, rotor size, caliper type etc. There's more than 1 kit.

It is the basic drop spindle kit with
11" 1979-81 Malibu rotors, loaded 1981-92 S10 calipers

Those are 10 1/2" rotors, not 11". They will not fit stock spindles, only that basic 2" drop kit. I have never seen the 1 piece cast spindle like those cause the problem you have. But I believe they are now having their spindles cast in mexico so who knows what could be wrong with them. Your best bet is to try and get them to refund your purchase since they are junk.

I have been real unhappy with CPP tech support. The 11" rotor description comes right off of there web site. I bought the kit on ebay as a return. They won't refund my money. I have bought a lot of parts from CPP in the past, not any more. My friend had a problem on his 62 Nova with their brake kit, spindles were cast wrong, nothing fit.

Gee, if it was returned didn't that tell you something may be wrong? Goes to show how low they will stoop to knowingly sell bad product.
