I bought these and am thinking I will run them on my car. I have been toying with these or the dog dishes. I dunno, don't see a lot of Camaros with these. Problem that I had was finding a nice enough set for my car with it being a show car. If they are as nice as he says the are I will be pretty happy. But, I do have some extras just in case I need to mix and match. What do you guys think? It is OK to be honest fellas. :)

I would say if you are pleased with the purchase, it must be ok. Not any one else's business.

those are very sharp. I've never seen the SS in red before. was that an option? are these repops? I am looking for the same look for a '68 project I have. Do you have a pic of your car?

Honestly? They wouldnt look good on my Camaro. It depends what your car looks like.

Those are very cool hubcaps though. I see them looking good on a Impala or Chevy II. Or a Camaro that would look good with the poverty caps. They would be a nice upgrade to poverty caps.

Hopefully one of the gurus will check in here to answer this related question...

I see those wheel covers (tri-bar with SS in center) in the 68 Camaro marketing/spec info. They are immediately under the full wheel covers which are known as "P01" style, because that was the RPO, but...

I guess the above wheel covers were what you got if you ordered P01 in combination with Z27? I can't find a separate RPO for the above style covers, and I am thinking that is because they were under P01, and which version of P01 you got depended on if the car also has Z27 or not. And also, the above are a one year only thing (68 MY) correct?

No these are not repops and I dont think they are even available. I emailed the seller and he said he listed them for a friend who had them in his garage for a very long time. I have several others that are nice but do not appear to be this nice and I have been looking awhile. All the ones that I have seen have the SS in red too.

I will install the covers on a set of 14x6 wheels with the F70-14 redline tires by the way.

Here is a picture of my car. It is Seafrost Green.

You present some very good questions my friend. These wheel covers were only available on Camaros 1 year which was 68'. Very similar covers were available on Impalas and Novas but they had the white stripes where these are black.

On my other computer I have a parts book image that I will try and post which might be useful for some. I will try and do it on Tuesday.

Erik, where are you finding your information? Sounds really interesting. Hopefully the gurus will chime in.

here is a couple of GM press release photos of the 68 SS, note how it is the same picture, just modified by airbrush to reflect the later SS stripe:

Received the covers today and they are certainly very nice. The plastic is perfect and there is no checking whatsoever. There is one small dent as the seller listed but I can cabbage another cover to replace the one with the dent. No pits either. These will polish up nicely! Whew, I like it when it works out.
