One thing I've often thought is did any 67-69 Camaro SS come from GM with a Cowl Induction type hood or were they all the flat hood with the chrome ornaments?
Was the Cowl hood an optional accessory at the time of ordering or was it a 'dealer installed' option?
Thanks :D

Yes, some SS cars could have had the cowl hood factory installed after a certain build date. (I forget the range). The SS hood could be factory ordered,or dealer installed. I recently looked to buy a 69 RS/SS car with factory cowl hood, ZL2 option. My 69Z was an original flat hood car,but was built much later, in October of 69. It was a May 69 car.

Hi Joe,
Cowl Hoods fit on 67 & 68 Camaros, but Cowl Hoods are only correct for 69.

The RPO ZL2 cowl hood was available on SS, Z28, and COPO cars after middle of Dec 68.
And the SS hood is not a "flat hood with the chrome ornaments". The SS hoods are domed, and the simulated vents sit in recessed areas in the domed area.
