Anybody know which distributor is a good one to run with the Holley Pro-jection MPI setup? Directions are quite vague for a $2600 kit. Connector in harness is a 4 wire GM weatherpak style but it doesn't fit any distributor I've ever seen. They must have a distributor in mind or else they wouldn't put a connector in the harness of that style.
Also need info on one-piece driveshaft install for Volvo 700. Come on DVC-2000 I know your out there. Tried to E-mail you but can't get through. I hate to do it but if I install 1 piece shaft I have to cut out the cross members. Any suggestions? Thanks

Iīm here alright http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif
Driveshaft:
The ones we use are from later f-bods.
As you have to shorten the shaft in any case,i suppose you could use any GM shaft for the yoke and rear u joint.
Just make sure the rear u-joint is the GM SMALL 2" one,and itīll be a true bolt on.
Another thing to consider is to use a US made puke tank from the early corvette or similar for the radiator.
The OEM Volvo one will look like the goodyear blimp after a couple a hard runs.
Use a cap of approx 15psi.
On the Holley stuff.
Thatīs for the HEI,isnīt it.?
Another tip is to walk into the hearest Volvo dealer and ask for their SAM catalogue.
SAM(Steffanson AutoMotive) is the official "racing" dealer of Volvo.
ANY Volvo dealer is able to get you the parts listed in that catalogue.
What iīm getting at is that you should order a pair of Volvos/SAM so called yellow "rally" shocks up front. That coupled with the stock V6 springs will do wonders.
make up a 1" swaybar from the yankard, and youīre up for some serious corner carving!
Another thing is to make sure that thereīs a sticker on the rear axle that says "xxxx1031".If is says 1030 at the end you might as well put an adress sticker to hell on that rear.
Spares for the rear is a breeze for ya,as itīs a Dana unit.
Btw.The crossmember is bolted in place-that is if weīre talking of the same thing now...
My mail btw.

I am pretty sure their unit requires a 7 pin HEI (late model computer controlled unit). I was checking them versus the Accel DFI; Accel offers an adapter to use an aftermarket distributor; MSD, Mallory, etc.
Their web site is www.weiand.com (http://www.weiand.com)

The Holley system wants either a late model HEI (this has a second connector, coming out where the cap meets the body) or Holley's own Billet distributer with the correct connector. Also get the optional Knock sensor module. Also, Electronic Spark control is not required. You can leave the original distributor in, tie the connector out of the way, and disable ESC in the software. (Setup - Advanced page)

Thanks for all the help guys. Seems I just needed a connector that didn't come with the kit and wasn't mentioned either. Oh well what's another $25 for this wire when I just gave $2600 for the complete kit that's not so complete.
Racing DVC 2000 I tried getting the catalog from my Volvo dealer today. No Go seems this is only available in Sweden. Also can't get through to you with that e-mail address for some reason. Thanks for help all. ssvolvo@mt-mansfield.com

Try getting in touch with Volvo direct on www.volvo.com. (http://www.volvo.com.)
The vendor youīve been in contact with HAS to deliver those parts.
Try mailing volvo corp and telling them, cause as i said that there is pure BS.
If you need my help, let me know.
Not only that, but those parts ainīt an arm and a leg either.
