how can you tell the difference from a 1969 camaro z28 NOS cowl hood from an aftermarket one? i bought a hood off ebay that was said to be NOS but putting it on seemed to give me way to much trouble to be NOS.

Do a search and you will find a picture comparison of a GM hood verses an aftermarket....... I give it a try without pictures....... The aftermarket are identifiable by thier stamping at the rear most part of the right and left edges (only viewable when hood is raised)......The aftermarket rear edge is more of a 45 degree angle and a GM hood has a notch in the angle......I am sure some one will post a picture comparison.....I have seen the picture in other posts on the subject....... Good luck with the project and now that you have found Team Camaro do your homework before you purchase.....Even GM parts (NOS) have issues as the stamping dies wear out...... NOS does not mean perfect but usually better that repo......... I have both an original (factory) and (NOS) cowl hoods and could take a picture or two if no one has any on thier computer...... What issues are you having? Also, not 100% sure on the aftemarket hood.
